PTSA Meetings, and our next Election!
Our next PTSA Meetings:
Tuesday, April 4, 2023 @ 6:30 PM
Tuesday, May 2, 2023 @ 6:30 PM - Election!

Come help decide how the PTSA will be run.
You have a voice and we want to hear it!
We'll have two positions open at the end of the year:  Secretary and Treasurer.  The Secretary sets our monthly agenda and keeps a record of what happens at our meetings.  The Treasurer handles our finances and some related documentation.  Both of these roles are critical for us to keep the PTSA running.  They can be more introvert roles or extrovert roles as you choose!
Our next PTSA meeting is April 4th. It will be in the MLC Library and on Zoom, 6:30-8:00 pm. Free childcare and a pizza dinner will be provided. (Find the zoom link at MLCPTSA.org) No membership is needed to attend. Would you like to vote? Follow this link for PTSA Membership

MLC PTSA AUCTION

Saturday, May 6th - a new date…Note that the date has changed! Through some unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to move the date of the auction to May 6th.
Join us for our first in-person auction in 4 years! We’ll have a silent auction, live auction, games, delicious food and drinks, music and great conversation… It’s been too long since we’ve all been able to gather, so let’s all COME TOGETHER on Saturday, May 6th at 7pm. It will be at the Odditorium, located at 1433 NW Quimby Street.
You can purchase tickets, register to bid, see our donors, and get basic info on the auction at Come Together 2023.
Want to help? Email us at mlcauctioncommittee@gmail.com.
If you know an awesome business that is interested in donating to the auction you can use the online donation form linked here.

BUY-IN PARTY HOSTS

*The Auction needs Buy-in Party hosts!
Hosted by MLC families, teachers, alums, or supporters. They're like electives for grownups, or for the whole family, or even just for kids but outside of school time! Buy-in parties can be a class, an outdoor activity, a cooking lesson/dinner, a community event, or just a plain old PARTY! Participants pay to attend and the money raised goes to the MLC PTSA so buy-in parties are a great way to build community while raising money at our annual auction.
If you have a skill to share, an awesome activity you can lead, a concert to rock, or you just want to plan a party as we come back together, please consider donating your time and talent and signing up to host a buy-in party! Fill out the interest form and email Sierra with any questions.

Our Amazing Parking Fundraiser!

Update: Help support PTSA efforts that directly support our school/students by volunteering!
We raised close to $1,200 in 4 hours at our last fundraiser, a huge thanks to our last group of volunteers!

We break the time slots into two hour shifts. You can find all available sign-up dates posted here.
Please sign up for future dates! There are weekend day and weekend evening games to choose from!

This is a great way to support the work PTSA do. We can see these efforts directly supporting the school and our students. As more and more people know about us, they are relying on us for parking and we will get even better parking turn-out. These fundraising efforts will fund events for the remainder of the school year and give us a head start to budget and fund more fun events and needed supplies for the 23-24 school year!

Additional Details:
MLC PTSA will host parking for Timbers and Thorns games this school year to raise much-needed funds for student activities (such as supplies for classroom and electives, field trips, scholarships, community building events and all the reasons why we love MLC). This fundraiser has proven to be a very good revenue source for us!

At least two people are needed for each shift. So grab a friend, your student or other parents and help support the MLC community.

We need volunteers to:

 Collect parking fees
 Direct cars to available spots
Assist with unlocking/locking the gates
Questions? Contact your parent coordinators Tammy or Chenney

***Even if you are not able to volunteer this time, PLEASE spread the word to your community of Timber and Thorn fans that parking is available at MLC, starting 1 hour before kickoff and stays open 3 hours after kickoff. (So a 7:30 kickoff means the lot opens at 6:30 and closes at 10:30).

Thank you for supporting the MLC community and PTSA! Sign up Here!
Questions? Email the parent coordinators Tammy and Chenney.

4x6 Mt. Rainier Trip
The 4x6 teachers have put together an amazing opportunity for the 4x6 students to get some in-field earth sciences experience at Mt Rainier!  This will be a much different climate than the high-desert trip earlier this year, but like that trip, this is a big trip and does have some significant expenses. Can you help the 4x6 students go to Mt. Ranier for outdoor school? Any donated amount is very much appreciated! You can donate directly here, or look below for how to help with the Parking Fundraiser! Thank you to all who have donated so far!  We've raised $320 from those donations! We also want to give a huge shout-out to Lovely's Fifty-Fifty!  They knew a trip was in the works, and donated $2000 to the fund!  In addition to being incredibly generous, they are an amazing place!  Check 'em out!
