Hello, MLC Community,

Happy spring! Check out the news and notes from your PTSA:

Set your alarm clock: The MLC Backyard Concert Series tickets go on sale at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at MLCPTSA.org For a complete line-up of shows, check out MLCPTSA.org.

Want to help?
We are looking for catering, beer, and wine donations for the events If you would like to donate food and/or drink, please email Amy Ouellette. If live music isn't your thing, consider making a financial contribution. We are hoping to raise $25K
for the 2022-23 school year to help pay for field trips, electives, experiential project-based learning... all of the stuff makes MLC magical.

MLC + Couch Park Cleanup is this Sunday, April 2, 2022 from 10AM-noon. Kids and grownups are welcome. Please bring gardening tools, gloves, garbage grabbers, and lawn & garbage bags. Thanks to all that came out last month, it was a great turnout!

New Dates for the Used Book Sale  Wednesday through Friday,
May 25, 26, & 27 in the MLC Auditorium. HOLD ON TO YOUR donations of new or gently used children's and grownup books for now. As you know, MLC is a small building with lots of creative projects going on, so right now we're making space for sale books. We will need help before, during, and after the sale, email me if you and or/your student is interested.

MLC Clothing Closet and Food Pantry  is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from noon-1PM. Our clothing selection is fully stocked so we are not accepting any clothing donations for now. We'd love donations of nutritious snack foods such as KIND bars, fresh fruit, and gluten-free snack options.

April PTSA meeting via Zoom, is next Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 6:30 PM. We'll start having our PTSA meetings in person at MLC as restrictions lighten up for using PPS buildings.

Behold! Ned and Kathleen's 6th grade classes built this amazing sail boat with Portland's Wind & Oar Boat School. The project was partially funded by MLC's PTSA and... it could be yours! Stay tuned for information about the boat raffle to benefit more project-based learning like this at MLC!
